Profile weight calculator

Calculate the linear weight (kg/m) of an aluminum profile from its cross-section and wall thickness, plus the weight per piece at your standard length. Method: cross-section area (mm²) × alloy density.

Linear weight0.786kg/m
Cross-section area291 mm²
Weight per piece · 6.4 m5.028 kg
Volume (CBM) · 10.016
How is it calculated?

Cross-section area (mm²) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1000 = kg/m. Then kg/m × length = weight per piece.

291 mm² × 2.70 ÷ 1000 = 0.786 kg/m  ·  0.786 × 6.4 = 5.028 kg

CBM = outer box (width × height) × length × quantity, in m³. It is the bounding volume to estimate container space; real packing may nest pieces and use less.
